Parents: Milk is offered with breakfast and lunch as part of the meal. We understand that some children have specific allergies to dairy products or are lactose intolerant. The students are not required to take the milk, however, we are required to offer milk or a non-dairy substitution that meets specific guidelines by USDA for calcium, protein, vitamins A and D, and other essential nutrients. Because of this federal and state regulation, we offer soy milk and Lactose Free Non-Fat as a substitute for our regular milk for all students who have one of the following forms on file:
PARENTAL REQUEST FOR A FLUID MILK SUBSTITUTION FOR SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN
